How coins are earned
The most common sources are:
- 1A daily reward for using a command.
- 2Coins for writing, with a cooldown so spam does not count.
- 3Prizes for winning minigames, trivia or events.
- 4Rewards for levelling up.
The shop: what they are spent on
The shop is what gives coins their value. Roles with their own color or name, access to special channels, giveaway entries and items for minigames work well. If the shop has nothing people want, coins are worthless and the economy dies.

Keeping it from inflating
If coins keep coming in and never go out, soon everyone has everything. To balance it you need costs: rising prices, items that expire, bets in minigames or fees on trades. Check now and then how many coins are in circulation and adjust the rewards.

Minigames and leaderboard
Minigames in the chat, like trivia, duels or word games, are the most fun way to move coins around. A visible leaderboard of the richest members or the top earners gives people a goal and a reason to compete.
Public bot or custom bot
Several public bots come with a basic economy. A custom bot makes sense when you want your own currency, a shop with your community’s items, minigames of your own or an economy tied to levels and giveaways.
